Lake Erie Canopy Tours Rules & Regulations

Safety is paramount at Lake Erie Canopy Tours, and every measure is taken to ensure guests are safe, sound, and thrilled at every turn.

As the nature of the adventure park includes activities high up off the ground and utilizes different climbing gear, we ask that all guests adhere to the rules & regulations while at Lake Erie Canopy Tours aerial adventure park for the safety of all guests.

Training & safety gear is provided prior to your tour or adventure challenge course experience. Our helpful staff of guides and adventure course monitors are on hand to lead you through and answer any questions along the way. Please review the Lake Erie Canopy Tours course regulations below.

Continuous Belay Systems: 
Once fitted, a participant's harness is connected to a cable system on the course of your choice.  The continuous nature of these systems prevent the possibility that the participant will become disconnected while on the ropes course.  As participants move from element to element, the click-it clasps move from activity to activity with a key to ensure only one of the two clasps are unlocked at any time.  Moving your harness will become second nature as training is provided on-site prior to your tour. 

CANOPY TOURS & ADULT ADVENTURE COURSE - RULES & REGULATIONS:
The continuous belay system ensures guests are secure, always be attached. Attempting to dismantle the apparatus, damage gear, or altering the safety of guest equipment in any way may compromise the gear and will result in immediate eviction from the park.

APPAREL/DRESS REQUIREMENTS:

• Dress for the weather. Shorts or long pants may be worn.
• Wear closed-toe shoes only, No open toe or open back shoes. (NO FLIP FLOPS or OPEN SANDALS) No Exceptions!
• Long hair must be in a ponytail.
• All backpacks, purses, cameras and cell phones should be left at the Welcome Center in a locker or in your car. Lake Erie Canopy Tours is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.

WEIGHT/HEIGHT:
Height minimum: must be able to reach at least 5 ft. (adult challenge and ziplines)
Weight minimum: 70 lbs. (ziplines only)
Weight Limits: 275 lbs. (all courses)

AGE:

• The zipline canopy tours are suitable for a minimum of 10 years of age. However, there is no age restriction as long as the weight and height minimums are met.
• Guests under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
• All guests under 18 years must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian to participate.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:
All participants should be relatively physically fit.
We do not recommend you participate if you have preexisting conditions or injuries, are pregnant or have back, neck or heart issues. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure whether this activity is suitable for you. SMOKING is NOT allowed on any of the Lake Erie Canopy Tours courses.

For the safety of all guests, no-one under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or impairing legal drugs will be permitted on any Lake Erie Canopy Tour activity. For your safety, pregnant women are not permitted to participate in canopy tours or adventure courses.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
Each participant is required to sign a release of liability. Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them. All guests are required to sign an acknowledgement of risk and release of liability waiver prior to their adventure. Lake Erie Canopy Tours does not guarantee your safety. Lake Erie Canopy Tours does not share guest information with any other agencies.

OTHER:
For those guests looking to keep up their strength for the 2+ hour adventure, snacks, beverages & retail items are available for purchase in the welcome shop as you enter the park.
